The Relict- Tomorrow is Again
Boy it’s been a while. So much has happened in the months it’s been since I’ve last posted anything here. I started my third year at university and the only music I have been listening to has been The Clientele. But what else is new, eh? I’ve come to feel much more independent after I moved to a new house and landed an amazing job. It’s wonderful to feel better about myself. Anyways, because I’ve been listening to so much by Alasdair Maclean, I thought I should post this album which I just got today. The Relict is composed of members of The Clientele but the principle songwriter and vocalist is Innes Phillips, one of the original members. Phillips left the band before they released Suburban Light in 2000 and appears only on the compilation It’s Art, Dad. This album is the sole release by The Relict, but it is oh so lovely. It’s like if Belle and Sebastian had beautiful twee babies with The Clientele and Galaxie 500. I highly, highly recommend this. Thanks for still reading even though I’ve been slacking. I’ll try real hard to keep up with you all again.
